A Manatee County school bus carrying 34 students was involved in a crash with an SUV on Monday.

There were no injuries reported from the passengers or either driver, Florida Highway Patrol said.

The bus, driven by a 64-year-old Bradenton woman, was in the left turn lane at 63rd Avenue East and attempted to make a left turn onto Ninth Street East with a green turn arrow present, FHP said.

The bus was heading toward Harllee Middle School around 7:48 a.m.

The SUV was heading in the westbound direction in the inside lane of 63rd Avenue East and approaching the Ninth Street East intersection with a red light, the report said.

FHP said the 38-year-old Bradenton man driving the SUV did not stop for the red light and the left side of the SUV crashed into the front of the bus.

The crash left the bus facing a northerly direction when it came to a stop, with the SUV facing a westbound direction, FHP said.

FHP is investigating the crash.
