Should Manatee County become a ‘gun sanctuary?’ Take our reader poll
Manatee County could soon become the newest “gun sanctuary” in Florida, which would limit the enforcement of future laws that put restrictions on firearm owners.
The Board of County Commissioners voted Tuesday to move forward with a resolution that would formally declare Manatee as a gun sanctuary. Board members say they want to send a message that they will not infringe on the Second Amendment right to bear arms.
Of Florida’s 67 counties, more than 40 of them have already approved similar policies, according to SanctuaryCounties.com.
Now we want to hear from you. What do you think about the Manatee County Commission’s vow to fight back up against any possible gun regulations in the future? Sound off in the poll below.
