Some people have welcomed the idea of the new addition to the island, while others have not.
The Bradenton Herald recently shared a rendering of a proposed hotel that could be built on the island, which includes 103 rooms.
It would sit on the southeast corner of the roundabout at Gulf Drive South and Bridge Street, across the street from Island Time Bar and Grill and the BridgeWalk hotel.
The hotel and whether it would fit the island became a hot topic on our Facebook post, with over 60 commenters weighing in.
