Chick-fil-A says 4th Bradenton-area site is coming. Where is it and when will it open?
A new Chick-fil-A restaurant is under construction on the corner of Manatee Avenue West and 43rd Street West, and the company this week gave an update on the plans.
“It’s our pleasure to confirm we will be opening a new Chick-fil-A restaurant in Bradenton in spring 2023. We look forward to joining the community and to serving all of our guests delicious food in an environment of genuine hospitality,” the company said in a statement to the Bradenton Herald.
In October 2021, the Bradenton City Council approved plans for the restaurant on a site once occupied by a Bank of America branch.
Some raised concerns about traffic congestion in the area.
Chick-fil-A plans to put the majority of 97 parking spaces in the heart of the property and provide dual drive-thru lanes, capable of stacking up to 52 vehicles that would wrap around the perimeter of the 2.1-acre parcel.
Manatee County Public Works has plans to reconstruct the intersection of 43rd Street West at Manatee Avenue to improve traffic flow by adding turn lanes and extending turn lanes on the north-bound approach to Manatee Avenue.
The new restaurant would be Chick-fil-A’s fourth in Manatee County. The others are at 4573 14th St. W., 5206 73rd Lane E., and at 5489 University Parkway.
