Who has the best charter fishing business in Bradenton, Manatee? Here’s how you voted

Which fishing charter in Manatee County is the best? That was a question posed to Bradenton Herald readers in a poll on Sept. 17.

Over the course of a week, 1,230 readers voted on who offers the county’s best charter fishing experience and what distinguishes the Bradenton area from other fishing destinations in Southwest Florida.

The winner of our poll is Captain Will Osborne Fishing Charters. He received 263 votes, and readers who’ve fished with him call Osborne the “fishing guru.”

They were impressed by his “generations” of fishing knowledge, ability to teach anglers of all ages and funny personality. He always puts them on large fish and catches a lot of them, they boasted.

“I, friends and family have fished with Capt. Will on 20+ occasions over the past seven years. We always have a great time he knows the waters of the Gulf, Tampa and Sarasota bays and their tributaries like the back of his hand,” a reader said.

“We have had many epic days fishing with him and made many great memories.”

Below are the top five best charter fishing captains leading the wave in Manatee County, according to our readers.
