Watch live: Manatee County officials give update on Hurricane Ian evacuations and more

Manatee County has issued evacuation orders head of Hurricane Ian, and emergency officials are holding a news conference to update the public on more details.

Manatee includes Bradenton, Parrish, Myakka City, Palmetto, Anna Maria Island and Lakewood Ranch.

Ian is likely to impact the area as a major Category 3 hurricane, even if the eye of the storm remains out over the Gulf and landfall ends up being north of Bradenton.
