‘American Pickers’ TV show is looking in the Bradenton area for collections, characters

Since debuting in 2010, “American Pickers” has aired more than 340 episodes on the History Channel and become a television staple.

The program is returning to Florida in December, and founder and star Mike Wolfe, or co-star Danielle Colby, could possibly be coming to check out your prized collection.

“As they hit the back roads from coast to coast, the Pickers are on a mission to recycle and rescue forgotten relics. Along the way, they want to meet characters with remarkable and exceptional items. They hope to give historically significant objects a new lease on life while learning a thing or two about America’s past along the way,” the production team said in a press release.

Bradenton resident Travis Palmer, a former roadie who toured with Johnny Cash, George Jones, B.B. King and others, has previously been on the show.

“Nothing was scripted,” Palmer said in 2018. “Everything they did and all the offers made were while the cameras were rolling.”

Collectors interested in being considered for the show can call 646-493-2184 or email AmericanPickers@cineflix.com and include full name, city/state, contact information, and a brief description of their collection.

The Pickers only pick private collections: no stores, malls, flea markets, museums, auctions, businesses, or anything open to the public.
