Bicyclist seriously injured in hit-and-run crash on I-75 in Parrish, troopers say

A bicyclist was was struck by a hit-and-run driver on Interstate 75 in Parish, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release. The crash happened at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.

A 32-year-old man from Miami was riding a bike in a northbound lane of I-75 near the Moccasin Wallow Road exit when a driver in the same lane hit him.

After the crash, the driver left. The bicyclist remained seriously injured in the roadway and was eventually taken to the hospital.

Troopers say they’re looking for a person in a dark gray or black-colored vehicle with damage to the passenger side headlight and mirror.
