Free shuttle rides available to Bradenton beach on Fourth of July weekend 2022
Are you going to the beach Fourth of July weekend?
Manatee County Area Transit will take you there and back for free, the Manatee County government said in a press release on Wednesday.
MCAT will offer special free shuttle rides to beachgoers on July 3 and 4.
The county has designated stops between 75th Street West and Anna Maria Island as fare-free zones passengers can board the Beach ConneXion Shuttle at any MCAT stop in the zoned areas and ride to and from the beach.
The release also said Manatee County’s public beaches would remain open throughout the holiday weekend.
Anna Maria Island Trolley and the Beach ConneXion Shuttle will operate on Independence day, while MCAT will suspend its fixed-routes and Handy Bus services.
Those routes will start back on July 5.
July fourth closures in Bradenton
- County Government offices will be closed.
The Downtown Central Library will be closed.
- The Lena Road Landfill will be closed.
- All trash, recycling, and yard waste collections will stop but resume the following day.
