Need a US passport? Manatee County office will open on two Saturdays in April

In April, the Manatee County Clerk Passport Division will open on two weekend days to offer services to customers with busy weekday schedules, the Manatee County clerk’s office said in a news release.

The Passport Division will be open on Saturday, April 2, and Saturday, April 9, from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

It is located inside the Manatee County Historic Courthouse, 1115 Manatee Ave. West in Bradenton.

Saturday services will include first-time passport applicants, renewal of adult passports (if the passport was issued more than 15 years ago), and renewal of passports for minors.

The Manatee County Clerk website says customers will receive their passport in 6-8 weeks and can choose to have it done through expedited service and receive the passport in 3-4 weeks, making their in-person process faster than going online.

Based on the Bureau of Consular Affairs website, the routine time to obtain a passport is 8-11 weeks and 5-7 weeks if expedited.

Save even more time at the Passport counter by filling out your passport application in advance. The application is available for download through the U.S. Department of State’s website at https://bit.ly/passport-ds-11.
