Scenes from Hanukkah parade in Bradenton. ‘We can bring light into this world.’
The Chabad of Bradenton celebrated the fourth night of Hanukkah with a parade of car-top menorahs that wound through neighborhoods in East Manatee County.
“Every one of us is a little candle, a little flame, and it is up to us; we can bring light into this world,” said Rabbi Mendy Bukiet.
The parade of about eleven cars made their way to the first stop, Cresswinds, where they stopped to light a giant menorah, sing, dance and eat some latkes.
The group continued on to two more communities before heading back to the Chabad.
Upcoming Hanukkah events include a kids Hanukkah disco at the Chabad at 11 a.m. Dec. 5, and that evening a grand menorah lighting at the Ellenton Outlets Mall at 5 p.m.
