Fire engulfs Bradenton roofing company property overnight. No injuries reported

A major fire engulfed the property of a Bradenton business and surrounding lots early Sunday morning.

Emergency crews responded to Manson Roofing, 807 24th Ave. W., at 1:14 a.m., according to the Bradenton Fire Department.

The blaze at the property, located northeast of the intersection at Ninth Street West and 26th Avenue, sent large columns of smoke and flame into the night sky that were widely visible. By the time crews arrived, the fire had already spread to most of the property around the Manson Roofing building, fire officials said.

Cedar Hammock, West Manatee and Southern Manatee fire departments were also called to the emergency, according to Bradenton Fire Department, and there were more than 30 fire personnel on site.

Firefighters used an aerial ladder to combat the flames from above as well as multiple hoses on the ground. Fire officials say the blaze was brought under control just before 5 a.m.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.

As of Sunday morning, the cause was still undetermined. Authorities could not yet provide an estimate of damages to the property.

Images posted to social media on Sunday showed damage to at least one structure as well as multiple vehicles that were parked at a lot neighboring Manson Roofing.

The Bradenton Fire Department and the State Fire Marshal’s Office continued to investigate.
