Sarasota woman becomes latest Florida Lottery millionaire

A 64-year-old Sarasota woman became Florida’s newest millionaire after scratching off one of the winning tickets in the Florida Lottery’s $5,000,000 LUCK scratch-off game.

Lottery officials announced Friday that Susan Fellers, of North Port used the secured drop box at the Fort Myers district office to claim her winnings and has opted for a lump sum payout of $760,000.

Fellers purchased the winning ticket at EZ Liquor store, located in the 13680 Tamiami Trail, North Port. The store will receive a $2,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The $20 scratch-off game launched in September 2019 with more than $329 million in potential prizes, including six $5 million top prize tickets.
