Bradenton pedestrian struck and killed in Cortez Road crash, troopers say

A 27-year-old Bradenton man died early Tuesday after being struck by a vehicle on Cortez Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers say the accident occurred just after 1 a.m. on Cortez Road at 37th Street West.

According to the crash report, the unidentified pedestrian was crossing Cortez Road from the Wildewood Professional Park driveway access when he struck by an eastbound vehicle.

The investigation is continuing, FHP said.
