You can renew your car’s registration at these Publix stores in Manatee County
Heading to Publix for milk or fresh deli goods? Now you can renew your vehicle’s registration while you are there.
According to the Manatee County Tax Collector’s Office, self-service kiosks are now available at three area Publix locations. They are:
- Beachway Plaza, 7310 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton.
- Lockwood Commons, 4240 Fifth Ave. E., Bradenton.
- Parkwood Square, 9005 U.S. 301 N., Parrish.
According to Manatee County Tax Collector Ken Burton Jr., the kiosks are available to all who do not have a hold on their registration for some reason and have a debit or credit card to make the payment.
New decals are issued through the kiosks upon successful completion of the renewal. A Spanish language option is available.
“This is a huge innovation for tax collector customers,” Burton said in a prepared statement. “Our partnership with Publix opens up the ability for them to quickly and easily complete their vehicle registration renewals when they get their groceries, even on weekends and most holidays.”
Online renewals are still available at taxcollector.com, but Burton said only the kiosks offer immediate results.
Kiosks also are available at the three busiest Tax Collector offices, at Desoto, Lakewood Ranch and North River.
Since January, more than 4,100 registration renewals have been transacted on the lobby kiosks and with the launch of the Publix locations in May, Burton expects that number to grow.
