Man, woman killed in motorcycle crash on U.S. 41 in Bradenton

A 30-year-old Venice man and 24-year-old Nokomis woman are dead after a crash between the motorcycle the man was driving and a car on U.S. 41 on Sunday night.

At 9:47 p.m., the Venice man was driving south on U.S. 41 approaching the intersection with Bayshore Gardens Boulevard when a Nokomis man driving an SUV headed north turned left into the motorcycle’s path, according to a news release.

The driver and the passenger of the motorcycle, neither of whom were wearing a helmet, were both killed, while the driver of the SUV suffered serious injuries, trooper said.
