Woman found dead in wheelchair on side of Bradenton street. Cops seek help with ID
A death investigation is underway after an elderly woman was found deceased alongside a roadway in Bradenton on Thursday, according to the Bradenton Police Department.
Officers responded to an emergency call for a report of a deceased person in the 2000 block of 15th Street West in Bradenton, where they found a woman’s body in a wheelchair.
An autopsy is pending, according to the police department, and no cause of death has been determined.
The police department is now seeking the public’s help in identifying the woman.
No additional information was available Friday.
Detectives describe the woman as being in her mid-80’s, approximately 5 feet 1 inch in height and approximately 90 pounds.
The woman has a surgical scar on the right side of her head, detectives say, and appears to have suffered from paralysis in her right hand. Her hair was described as short and thinning.
When found, she had on a gray sweatshirt, pink, white and purple floral print pajama pants and pink and gray socks.
