Missing Sarasota teen found safe, police say
A teen with a medical condition who was reported missing out of Sarasota has been located and is okay, according to Sarasota Police Department.
A missing child alert was issued on Thursday evening for 17-year-old Romeo Cruz.
Cruz had last been seen around 2:15 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, according to Sarasota Police Department.
He was observed walking westbound on Myrtle Street in the area of Booker High School. The high school is located at 3201 N. Orange Ave., Sarasota.
Police officers found Cruz walking near 47th Street and Rilma Avenue in Sarasota.
