Bradenton woman dies in single-vehicle crash on New Year’s Eve, FHP says
A Bradenton woman is dead after an early Tuesday morning single-vehicle accident, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say Chris Lorraine Chavez, 41, was traveling west on State Road 64 at about 1:30 a.m. on New Year’s Eve morning about a mile east of Kibler Road, when, for unknown reasons, her vehicle traveled onto the grassy shoulder and struck a pine tree.
Troopers say the woman died at the scene and that she was the only occupant in the vehicle.
