Bradenton man killed in motorcycle crash on U.S. 301
A Bradenton man was killed in a motorcycle crash that blocked multiple lanes of U.S. 301 in Manatee County on Thursday morning.
The deadly motorcycle crash was reported shortly after 8 a.m. on U.S. 301 at Tallevast Road, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The motorcycle, driven by 44-year-old Jason Tasler of Bradenton, was driving south in the left lane of U.S. 301. A tractor trailer was also southbound on U.S. 301 and was stopped for a red light at the intersection of Tallevast Road.
Tasler passed traffic in front of him on the left, going into the left-turn-only lane and went back into left lane, where he struck the rear of the trailer.
Tasler was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 41-year-old man driving the tractor trailer was not injured in the crash.
The road was cleared and reopened by 10:45 a.m.
