Update: All southbound lanes of U.S. 41 have been reopened.

A crash on U.S. 41 briefly blocked southbound lanes Thursday afternoon on the busy Bradenton street, snarling traffic.

All three southbound lanes of U.S. 41 were shut down around 2:15 p.m. as crews responded to the crash near Florida Boulevard, live traffic maps from the Sarasota-Manatee Regional Traffic Management Center showed. By 3 p.m., just one lane was closed.

Florida highway Patrol reported the lane blockage near the crash site at Florida Boulevard.
