A crash involving a school bus injured four people and partially blocked a Bradenton street Tuesday morning.

The bus had 17 students on board at the time of the crash and was going to H.S. Moody Elementary School, according to School District of Manatee County spokesman Mike Barber.

The crash occurred in the 4600 block of 26th Street West just before 8 a.m. Tuesday. According to Florida Highway Patrol, the southbound lanes of 26th Street West were blocked as of 8:13 a.m., but were clear by 9 a.m.

Manatee County Emergency Communications Center officials said two people were taken to Manatee Memorial Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Barber said in a text to the Herald two students were taken to receive treatment for injuries to their shoulder and elbow. Two other students were hurt but not taken to the hospital.

The school and parents were notified of the incident, according to Barber.
