Sunshine Skyway crash caused lane closure, traffic congestion on Thursday night
Update: All northbound lanes of the Sunshine Skyway are now open.
The left northbound lane of Interstate 275 on the Sunshine Skyway bridge is blocked after a vehicle crash, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Traffic is backed up beyond the South Skyway toll plaza, according to Florida 511.
Emergency response was dispatched at 5:01 p.m., and FHP reports that there were injuries at the scene of the crash.
The crash is located just before mile marker 12 on the bridge.
