A Florida-based restaurant chain is furthering its southern expansion with two new restaurants in the Sarasota area.
Metro Diner, known for its creative takes on classic comfort food, announced it will open the locations – one in Sarasota and one in Venice – within a week of each other.
The first Sarasota location opened its doors last summer.
The chain is known for its affordable menu and unique menu items such as cinnamon roll pancakes and Charleston shrimp and grits. There are plans for further growth in 2018: The company hopes to establish 35 new diners during the year.
