91-year-old with walker hit, killed while crossing Dale Mabry Highway

A 91-year-old woman with a walker was hit and killed Friday night while crossing Dale Mabry Highway.

Isabel Triana, 91, was attempting to cross four southbound travel lanes while using a walker, in an unmarked crosswalk, and traveled into the path of a Jeep Liberty, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The Jeep Liberty had a green traffic signal when it entered the intersection and collided with the pedestrian, according to the report.

Triana was transported to a hospital where she later died from her injuries.

The crash occurred around 8:30 p.m. Friday at Dale Mabry Highway and Mapledale Boulevard in Greater Northdale.

No charges have been filed, according to the report.
