Dense fog returns, limiting visibility in Manatee
Here’s what you might see on your Wednesday morning commute.
A dense fog advisory has been issued for the Tampa Bay area with visibility is less than a quarter-mile in some areas. The advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. Drivers should use caution.

Interstate 75
- Dense and patchy fog reported between mile markers 213 and 234;
- Crash in southbound lanes at mile marker 219, no roadblock reported.
Interstate 275
- Crash in northbound lanes at mile marker 24, St. Petersburg, roadway clear;
- Crash in northbound lanes at Gandy Boulevard North, St. Petersburg, roadway clear;
- Crash in northbound lanes at mile marker 39, Tampa, no roadblock reported;
- Crash on northbound entrance ramp at Hillsborough Avenue, Tampa, roadblock in northbound entrance ramp.
Sunshine Skyway
- Crash reported on the Palmetto side of the bridge, no roadblock reported.
Manatee Avenue/State Road 64
- No major incidents to report, traffic is flowing.
Cortez Road
- No major incidents to report, traffic is flowing.
State Road 70
- No major incidents to report, traffic flowing.

- U.S. 41 at 45th Street East, Palmetto, no roadblock reported;
- 15th Street East at 57th Avenue East, Bradenton, no roadblock reported;
- Gandy Boulevard North at Interstate 275, St. Petersburg, roadblock;
