Bradenton firefighters deliver holiday spirit at The Haven
Ensconced in a comfy chair stationed next to a small but festive Christmas tree, Santa and his helper elf handed out brightly wrapped packages to welcoming hands.
The Bradenton Firefighters Association, through fundraisers and donations, raised money to deliver gifts to more than 250 recipients at The Haven, a nonprofit agency serving children, teens and adults with disabilities. Dana Tindall, “fire elf,” danced around Santa, known in the everyday world as Fire Marshal Kenneth Langston, as excited adults clapped and smiled.
“Who’s next?” shouted out Tindall as her necklaces jangled brightly before she read off the next name on Santa’s list.
Bradenton firefighters also served a lunch provided by Uncle Nick’s, a Bradenton bagel restaurant, and sang songs.
