Interstate 75 reopened after crash
The southbound lanes of Interstate 75 were shut down at the interchange with State Road 64, after a crash that left one person injured, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported at 6:45 a.m., and the first troopers arrive on scene a few minutes later.
A 2013 Hyundai Sonata was traveling southbound in the inside lane of I-75 and approaching a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 when the Dodge Ram stopped with traffic just north of State Road 64, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The Sonata failed to stop for the Ram in front of it, and struck the rear of the vehicle, according to FHP.
The 21-year-old Tampa man driving the Sonata was cited for careless driving: failed to stop for vehicle ahead and was not reported injured. A passenger in the vehicle, another 21-year-old Tampa man, was taken to Lakewood Ranch Memorial Hospital with minor injuries, according to FHP.
The 37-year-old Tarpon Springs man driving the Dodge Ram did not report any injuries.

As of 8:45 a.m., all lanes of the highway had been reopened, according to the FHP website.
The crash happened near where the Florida Highway Department has a major reconstruction of the I-75/SR 64 interchange underway.
