Dense fog advisory issued for Thursday morning commute

Here’s what you might see on your Thursday morning commute.

A dense fog advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. Thursday. There is dense fog throughout the area, with visibility dropping to less than a quarter mile in some areas, according to the National Weather Service. Motorists should exercise caution and use low-beam headlights.

Interstate 75

• There is thick fog in the area of mile marker 248 in Gibsonton, drivers should use caution;
• Crash in northbound lanes at mile marker 260, Tampa, roadblock in northbound lanes;
• Crash in northbound lanes at mile marker 261, Seffner, unknown roadblock;
• Crash at exit to Interstate 4 eastbound, Tampa, no roadblock reported;
• Crash in northbound lanes at mile marker 207, Sarasota, roadblock in left lane.

Interstate 275

• There is heavy fog in the area of I-275 and U.S. 41 in Palmetto, drivers should use caution;
• Crash, I-275 northbound at mile marker 39, Tampa, no roadblock reported;
• Crash, southbound lanes at mile marker 42, Tampa, roadblock in southbound left lane.

Sunshine Skyway

• There is fog on the bridge, drivers should use caution;
• Crash at Skyway Bridge south toll plaza, roadway clear.

Manatee Avenue/State Road 64

• No major incidents to report, traffic flowing.

Cortez Road

• No major incidents to report, traffic flowing.

State Road 70

• Crash at 45th Street East, Bradenton, no roadblock reported.

Other crashes of note:

• East Hillsborough Avenue at North Cherokee Avenue, Tampa, no roadblock reported;
• U.S. 301 at Boyette Road, Riverview, no roadblock reported;
• State Road 618 westbound at mile marker 12, Tampa, roadway clear.
