A vehicle fire on Interstate 75 has traffic backed up to Big Bend Road as of 7:30 a.m., according to traffic maps.

As morning traffic picks up, things are moving slow on the Green and DeSoto Bridges in Manatee County.

Interstate 75

  • Vehicle fire in southbound lane at mile marker 248, Gibsonton, smoke in area and roadblock in southbound lane, traffic backed up to Big Bend Road as crews work on scene;
  • Crash in northbound lanes at mile marker 222, Bradenton, no roadblock reported.

Interstate 275

  • Crash in northbound lanes at North Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, no roadblock reported.

  • No major incidents to report, traffic flowing.

  • Traffic moving slow near the intersection of U.S. 301.
