Manatee County Area Transit: There is no fixed route, Handy Bus or Longboat Trolley on Thanksgiving Day.
Manatee Trolley (Anna Maria Island): Regular hours
Sarasota County Area Transit: Regular bus service will not run on Thanksgiving Day, but will resume Friday. SCAT administration office and Downtown Transfer Station customer service window will also be closed Thanksgiving Day and Friday. The Siesta Key Breeze will continue to operate through the week.

Garbage pickup
City of Anna Maria: Any disposal and collection service that would have been regularly provided will be provided the day after the holiday. In the event that the holiday occurs on a Friday, the collection will be scheduled for the day prior. There will be no collection on Saturdays or Sundays.
City of Bradenton: Garbage normally collected on Thursday will be collected on Friday. Garbage normally collected on Friday will be collected on Saturday.
City of Bradenton Beach: Any disposal and collection service that would have been regularly provided will be provided the day after the holiday. In the event that the holiday occurs on a Friday, the collection will be scheduled for the day prior. There will be no collection on Saturdays or Sundays.
City of Palmetto: Any applicable holiday occurring during regular collection days will result in collections taking place one day later for the remaining days that week. Regular collection days resume the following Monday

Sarasota County: Yard waste, garbage or recyclables will not be collected Thanksgiving Day. Residents who live in unincorporated Sarasota County will have their waste collection delayed by one day. Waste should be placed at the curb by 6 a.m. the day of pickup.

Publix: All stores and pharmacies will be closed Thanksgiving Day
Winn-Dixie: Open 7 a.m.-4 p.m. Thanksgiving Day
Libraries
Manatee County: Closed from Thanksgiving Day through Nov. 26. The Downtown, Island and Rocky Bluff libraries will close early on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Sarasota County: All libraries will be closed Thanksgiving Day and Friday, but will reopen Saturday.
Post office
All branches: Closed

Manatee County: Closed
Sarasota County: Closed
Parks
Manatee County: All public parks, beaches and the Buffalo Creek golf courses will remain open Thanksgiving Day. G.T. Bray will close on Wednesday at 7 p.m. through Friday.
Sarasota County: The Payne Park Tennis Center will be closed Thanksgiving Day, but will resume regular hours Friday. Arlington Park and Knight Trail Park gun range will be closed Thanksgiving Day and Friday.
