Trick for a treat: Adopt a pet for a reduced fee during ‘Howl’oween’ event
For this “Howl’oween,” Manatee County Animal Services wants to help residents find their new best friends.
About 170 dogs and cats are up for adoption at their Palmetto and Bradenton locations, with a discounted $20 adoption fee for a limited time.
Normally, the adoption fee for dogs is $80 and $40 for cats. The adoption includes spay or neuter, microchip and rabies certificate, and residents have to license their new pets for another $15.
The promotion is going on Oct. 23 through 31. The Palmetto location, located at 305 25th St. W., is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The Bradenton location, with cats only, is located at 1002 Manatee Ave. W. and is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
Manatee County Animal Services aims to reduce overpopulation and increase responsible pet ownership.
