Aqua by the Bay meeting moved so all commissioners can be present
The continuation of the Aqua by the Bay special land use meeting will be held on Oct. 3.
King Engineering Planning Department Manager Misty Servia requested that the meeting, originally set for Friday, be moved.
“It is important to us to have a full board for the hearing,” wrote King Engineering Planning Department Manager Misty Servia in an email to Knapp.
The Medallion Home proposal, on 529 acres between Sarasota Bay and El Conquistador Parkway, intends to have 2,384 multi-family and 510 single-family homes in addition to 78,000 square feet of commercial space.
The development has been contentious with environmental groups who claim that this could destroy the last pristine of mangrove shoreline in Manatee County.
