Tampa elementary school burns down shortly after power restored
A Tampa school that was the center of controversy over a possible name change burned down Tuesday, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
Robert E. Lee Elementary School, which is located in the Tampa Heights neighborhood, just north of downtown Tampa, caught fire shortly after power was restored Tuesday evening.
The school was not used as a hurricane shelter, according to Bay News 9.
