A seventh home on the Land O' Lakes street with a massive sinkhole has now been condemned.

Pasco County officials made the announcement Monday morning that 21845 Ocean Pines Drive is now on the condemned list.

Crews are expected back in the neighborhood Monday.

Cleanup is expected to continue Monday after two additional homes were condemned during the weekend on Ocean Pines Drive, where a large sinkhole opened on July 14.

The sinkhole, now at 265-feet wide, has now claimed a total of six homes.

The two homes condemned are 3153 Canal Place and 21748 Ocean Pines Drive.

Two other homes, located at 21815 and 21814 Ocean Pines Drive, were condemned on Saturday after a portion of the sinkhole collapsed overnight Friday.

Cleanup was halted on Friday due to the additional collapse under the driveway and asphalt at 21825 Ocean Pines Drive. There was also a minor collapse between 21835 and 21845 Ocean Pines Drive.

On Saturday, crews began the clean up process again and noticed signs of cracking through the exterior and interior of the homes at 21815 and 21814 Ocean Pines Dr.

Crews had to stop repair operations on Friday after edges of the hole collapse, making the hole about 30 feet wider.

Cleanup crews returned during the weekend with dozens of dump trucks bringing in limestone and dirt to fill in and stabilize the sides of the hole.

Crews also are using heavy machinery to clean up debris inside of the hole.

During the weekend, more families had to scramble to get what they could out of their homes after receiving the news that their homes were no longer safe.

While the hole seems stable at this time, county officials will continue to monitor the situation.
