Weather forecast: Fewer storms expected Sunday
Lows for Sunday morning will be in the upper 70s to around 80 near coastal regions and mid 70s inland.
On Sunday, slightly drier air moves back in. There will be partly cloudy skies and a 30 percent coverage of storms, mainly in the afternoon and slowly winding down in the evening. Storms will start along the sea breeze in the coastal counties in the afternoon. The few storms will shift inland through the afternoon and evening. Highs will be in the low to mid 90s.
Starting Monday, winds shift resulting in a typical summer pattern. Prevailing winds will be easterly to southeasterly. Thunderstorms will develop in the afternoon with the sea breeze. Storms will likely be heavier toward evening as the east-coast sea breeze moves westward toward the Gulf of Mexico. The rain chances through the work week will be around normal.
Highs each day will be in the low to mid 90s.
There will be a 40 to 50 percent chance of storms Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, with a dip to 30 percent Thursday as some drier air passes by.
Rain chances edge up for next weekend. Storms will develop along the sea breezes during the afternoon and evening.
