Weather forecast: Fewer storms, hotter temperatures Friday

Drier air briefly moves in on Friday, bringing lower rain chances. There may be some showers or storms early along the coast north of Tampa Bay.

Storms will shift inland, but there will not be many of them. With more sunshine and fewer storms, it will be hotter, with high temperatures in the low to mid 90s.

As moisture returns overhead, Saturday's rain chances will go up. Showers and storms are likely to start near the coast, especially for the Nature Coast early. The rain chance is 50 percent.

Highs on Saturday will be in the low 90s. Overnight lows will be in the upper 70s.

On Sunday the moisture overhead lowers, so the rain chance will drop again. Winds will be light and storms will mainly be in the afternoon.

The area of high pressure will be north of our area early next week. This will shift our winds to mainly southeast for the work week.
