Warm, muggy days ahead
The morning started off with a little rain and warm temperatures will keep the morning feeling muggy.
Thursday’s high will be near 90 with partly sunny skies but a heat index could make it feel as high as 99. There’s a 20 percent chance showers and thunderstorms will continue after 2 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
Friday could again see a heat index as high as 99. The high is expected be be near 92, with a low chance of scattered showers and storms overnight, according to NWS.
The weekend is expected to have highs near 90 and low chances of showers and storms, according to NWS.
With a front moving toward northern Florida, higher rain chances will return to the Tampa Bay area Sunday, according to Bay News 9.
