Fourth worker dies nine days after TECO plant accident

A fourth worker has died stemming from last week’s accident at Tampa Electric’s Big Bend Power station, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

Frank Lee Jones was 55 years old.

Six workers were severely burned by molten slag that escaped a tank on June 29.

Michael McCort, 60, and Christopher Irvin, 40, were pronounced dead at the scene, and Antonio Navarrete, 21, died Wednesday.

Two others remain in the hospital, according to the Times.
