Driver ejected, killed in single-vehicle crash on I-4
The driver of a 2002 Nissan Xterra was killed Saturday after he lost control of the vehicle on eastbound Interstate 4 in Polk County.
According to a release from the Florida Highway Patrol, the Xterra was traveling east on I-4 near Mile Marker 51 when, for unknown reasons, he lost control.
The vehicle overturned and the driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected and later pronounced dead at an area hospital, according to FHP.
FHP did not release the identification of the driver, a 27-year-old Orlando resident, pending next of kin notification.
