Tampa police call gunfire at Adventure Island accidental discharge
A physical altercation in the parking lot at Adventure Island led to a gun being discharged accidentally, according to the Tampa Police Department.
An Uber driver refused to allow two potential passengers to enter his car because they were wet, which led to a verbal altercation, according to a release from TPD. The altercation then turned physical, at which point the Uber driver grabbed a gun as a measure of self-defense.
According to the release, a struggle ensued over the gun, and a round was discharged.
TPD stated that there were no injuries, and no charges have been filed at this time.
