A 27-year-old man was arrested early Sunday morning after confessing to Friday’s armed robbery of a Bradenton convenience store and two previous robberies, according to the Bradenton Police Department.

John L. Ramos is accused of robbing the Kwik Stop convenience store, 2505 26th Ave. W., and holding a store clerk at gunpoint at about 10:28 p.m. Friday. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

At 2:43 a.m. Sunday, deputies with the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office located Ramos in the 3500 block of 14th Street West, police said.

While interviewed by detectives at the Bradenton Police Department, Ramos confessed to the robbery at the Kwik Stop and two other robberies that occurred in Manatee County, police said.

On Saturday, police released surveillance images showing the Kwik Stop suspect.

Ramos was being held without bond Sunday at the Manatee County jail.
