Pair of crashes on Sunshine Skyway backing up bridge traffic

Two crashes in the southbound lanes of the Sunshine Skyway have created some backup across the bridge.

A hit-and-run crash near Mile Marker 6 along Interstate 275 occurred around 4:30 p.m. Friday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol live traffic feed.

The crash is just north of the south toll booth.

A second crash was reported just two minutes later near Mile Marker 16 in the southbound lanes of I-275, according to the FHP traffic feed.
