Rain fell most of the day Monday, and the wet roads were one factor in a truck to end up in a pond.

Palmetto Police said the 19-year-old driver lost control of the truck while driving on Haben Boulevard toward U.S. 41 shortly after 6 p.m. Monday, and the truck ended up in a pond.

The pond was on Bradenton Area Convention Center property in Palmetto.

The 19-year-old driver was the vehicle’s only occupant and crawled out of the driver’s side door. She did not suffer any injuries, police said.

Police called a tow truck to remove the vehicle from the pond.
