Rowers compete at Dragon Boat Festival

Decorative dragons are piled on a picnic table during the Suncoast International Dragon Boat Festival on Saturday afternoon at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota. Dragon Boat Racing is a competitive team rowing sport comprising 20 rowers and two drummers to maintain the rhythm of rowing. The sport traces its roots back to ancient southern China more than 2,000 years ago.
