Eight little ducklings can now safely waddle their way into a new life after they were rescued Friday.

The ducklings were found huddling in the rain next to their mother, who had been hit by a car, according to a Bradenton Police Department Facebook post.

The Animal Cruelty Investigations Squad at the Bradenton Police Department warmed and fed the ducklings, who are now being cared for by the Humane Society of Manatee County.
