Weather forecast: Cooler highs, cloudier conditions Friday
Atmospheric moisture continues increasing, so we had more scattered storms out there today and will have more into Friday.
Friday will feature a lot more cloud cover and lower temperatures as a result. Highs will only reach the mid 80s.
There will be some showers and storms coming in from the gulf, along with scattered storms over land in the afternoon to evening. The combination of both will result in 70 percent coverage of rain by the end of the day, even though we don’t expect it to rain everywhere all day long.
The storms will wind down Friday evening, with still cloudy skies and lows in the low to mid 70s.
With abundant moisture we’ll have another good coverage of showers and storms Saturday, but it won’t rain all day. It will also be mostly cloudy again, so highs will be in the low to mid 80s.
Sunday will not be as cloudy, so expect highs back to the upper 80s. There will still be scattered storms on Sunday, but the coverage will come down to about 40 percent, with the best chance shifting back to inland areas.
