Manatee County under severe thunderstorm warning until 3:30 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning until 3:30 p.m. for northeastern Manatee County and southeastern Hillsborough County.

Storms were located from MacDill Air Force Base in southern Tampa and southward to Lakewood Ranch.

Thunderstorms have been moving in from the Gulf of Mexico as part of a cold front that will move through later tonight.

Also, the Skyway Bridge is currently closed due to the heavy storms and high winds.
