Traffic flowing normally, few crashes reported Tuesday evening

6:30 p.m. Traffic is still running smoothly along major roadways with maps not showing any large backups.

Incidents:

  • I-75 at mile marker 181 (Sarasota County), Debris on roadway in northbound lane reported at 6:10 p.m.
  • I-75 at mile marker 228, vehicle fire reported at 6:26 p.m., roadway open

5:45 p.m. So far in the Tuesday evening commute, traffic sites are not showing any major issues.

Traffic across the Sunshine Skyway appears to be flowing as normal, showing no slowdowns on Florida 511 or the Bay News 9 traffic maps. Interstate 75 traffic also appears to be flowing smoothly.

Florida 511 shows some slow downs along Manatee Avenue East at South Tamiami Trail, as well as 14th Street West between 53rd Avenue West and Saunders Road.

Crashes:

  • I-75 South, mile marker 220, hit-and-run reported at 4:23 p.m., no roadblock
  • University Parkway at I-75, crash reported at 3:39 p.m., roadblock University Parkway at northbound entrance ramp
  • North River Rd. at East Venice Ave. (Sarasota County), crash reported at 4:07 p.m., no roadblock
  • 53rd Ave. at 14th St. W., crash reported at 5:01 p.m., no roadblock
