Midweek front will bring more rain, slightly cooler temperatures
The upper level ridge of high pressure over the Tampa Bay region is breaking down and pushing south today.
Scattered showers and storms will develop in the afternoon on Monday and move eastward due to a southwest wind. The rain chance is 40 percent. The afternoon will not be as hot, with highs in the upper 80s.
Tuesday, there will be a lower rain chance of just 20 percent. The chance will mainly be inland. Highs will again be in the upper 80s.
A cold front pushes into our area Wednesday and Thursday with chances of scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some areas will see very heavy rain.
It will be windy Wednesday into at least early Thursday. The rain should end on Thursday and clouds will decrease.
The front will actually push through as it weakens. The dew points will move down a bit.
Friday morning lows will be in the mid 60s in the Tampa Bay area to near 60 north. But the drier air heats up quickly, so afternoon temperatures will be in the upper 80s, which is normal for this time of year.
The chance for rain will return by Saturday afternoon.
